Liam loved music and singing. His Mum has provided us with some snippets of him singing which you are welcome to listen to.

Liam was a very energetic and enthusiastic 8 year old boy who loved music, playing football and all the other things young boys love to do.

It was three years ago that he began to complain about lumps in his neck which were soon diagnosed as leukaemia, a shattering discovery.

Liam underwent a series of treatments whilst an attempt was made to find a bone marrow donor, Nottingham Forest FC even organised a drop-in session for people wanting to help. A donor was eventually found in Wales but unfortunately, despite drugs paid for by Leukaemia Research that helped him to hang on, his cancer was too strong and treatment had to be withdrawn. He lost his battle on New Year's Day and will be dearly missed by many people.

His funeral saw 300 people in attendance, a testament to just how many people Liam touched over his short life.

"I wanted to contribute a few words for inclusion on this website, and although the loss of Liam is the cruellest blow I will ever be dealt, I want to convey a positive message.
Liam had many great strengths of character, but paramount amongst them was his incredibly positive attitude to life, no matter what it threw at him. He had an insatiable zest for life and always managed to find something to smile about. He had a great and varied love of music, and cared deeply about the people in his life. I know many of the people Liam held dear are actively involved in making this concert a reality.
I am touched by the incredible generosity of so many people, giving their considerable time and talent, to raise funds to help eradicate the disease that took Liam from us. And just as importantly, all the people who have purchased tickets for what I’m sure will be an unforgettable day!

Julie and I would like to thank everyone involved in the event for all their hard work, and rest assured, Liam will be proud of you all!"
